Norm Rankin oversees Big Lots Capital, a subsidiary formed to source products from alternative, non-traditional channels. He also manages Big Lots Wholesale, a business-to-business exchange that provides top-quality merchandise at below wholesale prices. He brings nearly two decades of merchandise experience and leadership to his role, including his background as the former owner/operator of a small closeout chain in Chicago and executive positions with closeout retailers.

Merchandise Acquisition Representative
Denise Kieffer has over 20 years of retail experience in field management and corporate buying with numerous retailers, including JC Penney, Maurice's, Organized Living, and Sears. She joined the Big Lots Capital team in 2006. Denise is responsible for sourcing deals and managing the bankruptcy and high distressed/complex deals that flow through Big Lots Capital. Denise is an active member of the TMA.
Dewayne Tanner
Operations Manager
Dewayne Tanner coordinates the logistics of BLC purchases of all sizes. As a former District Operations Manager for Big Lots, he has two decades of experience on the operations side of the business where he implemented the chain's new freight processing system for nearly 1400 stores. He also manages reverse logistics deals and sources to acquire closeouts for Big Lots Capital.
